OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS THE MUUNGANO SCHOOL HAS EXPERIENCED AN INFLUX OF STUDENTS WHICH HAS LED TO OVERCROWDED CLASSROOMS. DUE TO A SHORTAGE OF FUNDS TO BUILD NEW CLASSROOMS THE USA RIVER MUNICIPALITY STARTED ITS SEARCH FOR SPONSORS IN JANUARY 2012.
THE BOARD MEMBERS APPROACHED RIVERGARDENS IN HOPE OF A SPONSORSHIP. TO THEIR RELIEF THE MANAGEMENT AGREED TO SPONSOR ALL THE FOUNDATION MATERIALS TO BUILD FOUR NEW CLASSROOMS WHICH WILL ACCOMMODATE AN ADDITIONAL 200 STUDENTS.
THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FOUNDATION PHASE BEGAN IMMEDIATELY AND REACHED COMPLETION IN 2012 UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF RIVERGARDENS’ TEAM. HOWEVER, THE NEXT CHALLENGE IS TO FIND FURTHER SPONSORS TO COMPLETE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CLASSROOMS. THIS UNFORTUNATELY IS DELAYING THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING THE PROMISING AND MUCH NEEDED PROJECT IF ADDITIONAL SPONSORSHIPS ARE NOT FOUND.
